Cloutier becomes 48th Fort Jackson commanding general

FORT JACKSON, S.C. May 29, 2015-- Brig. Gen. Roger L. Cloutier Jr. became Fort Jackson’s 48th commanding general on Friday at a ceremony at Victory Field. It was followed by a reception at the officer’s club.

Cloutier assumed command from Maj. Gen. Bradley A. Becker, who is leaving Fort Jackson to take command of the Military District of Washington. He will also serve as commander of Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region, Washington, D.C.

Cloutier’s previous position was director of Force Management in Washington, D.C., where he has served since August 2013.
